This topic describes how to view and modify system parameters.
Background
System parameters in OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) control a series of complex configurations, such as backup and recovery and the frequency of resource monitoring. We do not recommend that general users modify system parameters.
After you deploy OCP, it sets a default value for these parameters to satisfy day-to-day usage. If you have a particular need, you can ask an administrator to modify the related system parameter for you.
Prerequisite
You are logged on with an account that has the ADMIN or PROPERTY_MANAGER role.
View system parameters
Log on to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Management > System Parameters .
By default, the Parameters list displays all the modifiable parameters.
You can use the page control in the lower-right corner of the list to go to another page or change the number of parameters displayed on a page.
Enter a keyword in the search box in the upper-right corner of the Parameters list and click the search icon.
The system parameters whose names match the keyword are displayed in the Parameters list.

Modify a system parameter
Log on to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Management > System Parameters .
By default, the Parameters list displays all the modifiable parameters.
Enter a keyword in the search box in the upper-right corner of the Parameters list and click the search icon.
The system parameters whose names match the keyword are displayed in the Parameters list.
Click the Edit icon in the Parameter Value column of a parameter.
The Modify Parameter Value dialog box appears.
Enter a new value for the parameter. For more information, see OCP configuration parameters.
Click OK .
The modification takes about 10 minutes to take effect. Some parameters require a restart to take effect.
