OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) is an enterprise-class database management platform with OceanBase Database as its core. The current version supports mainstream OceanBase versions from V1.4 to V2.2. It also provides common functions, such as host management, OceanBase cluster and tenant O&M, backup and recovery, and more sophisticated monitoring and alerting capabilities.
The current version has the following features:
- Security
This includes user management, role management and a user center.
In OCP, management permission on various resources are granted to users via roles. In the user management and role management modules, you can manage the users and roles of OCP, including creating, modifying, or deleting users and roles.
You can also assign and revoke permissions of roles. These cover most user management functions required in common enterprise database monitoring software.
The user center provides various functions for personal security management, including personal settings, password box, and alert subscription management for OCP users.
- Cluster management
OCP provides management function for OceanBase clusters throughout their lifecycle, including cluster installation, O&M, performance monitoring, configuration, upgrade, and deletion. These cover most user requirements for managing OceanBase clusters.
- Tenant management
OCP provides a variety of management functions for OceanBase tenants, including tenant creation, tenant topology, performance monitoring, session management, and parameter management.
- Monitoring and alerts
Alerts are an important part in any enterprise IT management software. OCP monitoring allows you to monitor OceanBase clusters, tenants, and hosts.
You can use built-in alerts to meet basic alert requirements. You can also configure custom alerts. In addition, HTTP and script alert messages can be adapted through templates to fit various alert channels.
- Host management
This enables you to view host information and add or delete hosts.
- Backup and recovery
This provides full backup, incremental backup, and log backup for OceanBase clusters and tenants.
- System management
This provides task management and OCP parameter management functions.
You can view tasks and manage running tasks through task management,
and you can tweak OCP system parameters through parameter management according to your own business requirements.
