Replace an OBProxy

This topic describes how to replace an OBProxy.

Scenarios

Replace an OBProxy in an OBProxy cluster. This is usually performed in scenarios that require server replacement, such as IDC relocation.

Prerequisites

• You have added the new host on which you want to deploy an OBProxy to OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) for management. The host has netcat (nc) installed.

• Make sure that no business connection exists on the OBProxy to be replaced.

Procedure

Perform the following steps in sequence:

1. Add an OBProxy.

2. Remove the OBProxy to be replaced.

   For more information, see Scale in an OBProxy cluster.

3. Wait for the task to complete.
