OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) enables you to create, manage, and monitor OceanBase clusters. This topic describes how to upload software packages, add a host, create a cluster, take over a cluster, create a tenant, create a user, create an OBProxy cluster, and configure alerts in the OCP console.
The following figure shows the logical relationship between the preceding operations.

| Sequence | Operation | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Upload software packages | Upload the OBProxy installation package. You can also upload the installation packages for OceanBase Database, OCP-Agent, and backup and recovery services. |
| 1 | Add a host | Add an on-premises device to the OCP console. |
| 2 | Create a cluster | Create an OceanBase cluster that consists of three OBServers. These OBServers are evenly distributed in three zones. |
| 3 | Create a tenant | Create a tenant in the primary OceanBase cluster. You can create tenants in one of the following two ways: |
| 4 | Create a user | To ensure information security and conventional security, we recommend that you grant the minimum necessary permissions to a user when you create it. The PROFILE role is the minimum permission set on OCP. A user of this role can access the personal center and modify their personal information and password box. |
| 5 | Create an OBProxy cluster | You can specify the basic information, deployment mode, and advanced settings to create an OBProxy cluster. You can add OBProxies to the cluster or connect the cluster to an OceanBase cluster. |
