OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) provides built-in alert templates to meet your daily business monitoring requirements. This topic describes how to create a custom alert template to set alert rules for your business objects in a unified manner.

Compared with creating an alert rule, creating an alert template allows you to quickly set multiple alert rules for your business objects.

    Prerequisites

The logged-on user in the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console is granted the ADMIN or ALARM_MANAGER role.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the OCP console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alert Center.

    3. Click the Alert Templates tab.

    4. On the Alert Templates tab, move the pointer over Create Alert Template in the upper-right corner and select the template type.

    5. Specify the fields in the Basic Information section for the alert template.

Specify Template Name, Description, and whether to Enable Template.

      1

You can disable system built-in alert templates and custom alert templates that are temporarily not used.

    6. Specify the fields in the Rule Configuration section for the alert rule.

      1. Select an alert rule type.

Switch between the tabs of alert rule types as needed. The tab layout varies with the template type.
