OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT) allows you to remove servers based on your business requirements. For example, you can remove servers in the following scenarios: business scaling down, hardware replacement, or resource integration.
Prerequisites
Before you remove a server, make sure that the following conditions are met:
- You have logged in to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.
- The server to be removed has been initialized and is not being used by other components, such as clusters or services.
Procedure
Remove a single server
Log in to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Server Management.
Find the server that you want to remove and click Delete in the Actions column.
Note
If too many servers exist, you can search for a server by IP address at the top of the page.
In the message that appears, click Delete.
Note
After a server is removed, metadata of the server in the OAT system is deleted. The actual data of the server are not deleted, and related services are not terminated.
Remove multiple servers
Log in to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Server Management.
In the server list, find the servers that you want to remove, and select the check box in the left column of each server.
Note
If too many servers exist, you can search for a server by IP address at the top of the page.
After the servers to be removed are selected, click Batch Delete in the lower-right corner.
In the message box that appears, click Delete.

After a server is removed, metadata of the server in the OAT system is deleted. The actual data of the server are not deleted, and related services are not terminated.
