OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT) allows you to manage containers. For example, you can rebuild, start, stop, or restart a container.

Supported components and services

Type Name
Service OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP), OceanBase Developer Center (ODC), OceanBase Migration Service (OMS), and OB Sharding
Component MetaDB, InfluxDB, OBDNS, Network Load Balancer (NLB), OpenSearch, SQLAuditStore, and Arbitration Service

Operations supported for different container status

Container status Supported operation
Running Stop, Restart, Batch Stop, and Batch Restart
Restarting None
Stopped Start, Rebuild, Batch Start, and Batch Rebuild
Rebuilding None
Starting None
Stopping None

Procedure

To manage a container of a service or component, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the OAT console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Product Service > Products or Product Service > Components. On the page that appears, find the service or component whose container you want to manage.

  3. Click the name of the service or component to go to the details page.

  4. In the upper-right corner of the details page, click Container Operation.

  5. On the Container Operation page, find the container that you want to manage and click the button of the operation that you want to perform in the Actions column.

  6. To perform an operation on multiple containers at a time, select containers in the same state and click the button of the operation that you want to perform in the lower-right corner. In the message that appears, click OK.

    Note

    • By default, buttons of batch operations are unavailable.
      • If all selected containers are in the **Running** state, you can click **Batch Restart** or **Batch Stop**.
      • If all selected containers are in the **Stopped** state, you can click **Batch Start** or **Batch Rebuild**.
      • If you select containers in different states, buttons of batch operations are unavailable.
    • A secondary confirmation is required before you can perform an operation on multiple containers at a time.
