Release purpose

To better assist users in operating OceanBase products, this OAT V4.5.0 version has made significant upgrades to its O&M features and security capabilities: OAT now supports HTTPS services; it has added the ability to batch remove servers; OMS deployment now supports international time zones; and Django/Apache Airflow have been upgraded, with security vulnerabilities fixed.

Release overview

  • Release date: 2026.04.03
  • Previous version: V4.4.1
  • Version: V4.5.0

Feature enhancements

  • Added support for HTTPS services, allowing users to configure HTTPS with custom certificates.
  • Added the ability to batch remove servers, improving O&M efficiency.
  • Added support for international time zones in OMS deployment, allowing configuration of various global time zones.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the issue where the obproxy/observer process may fail to generate a core file on servers running openEuler, SUSE, or Debian operating systems.
  • Fixed the issue where tasks initiated by a deleted user cannot be viewed.
  • Fixed the issue where server status cannot be viewed when multiple servers are selected.
  • Fixed the issue where upgrading the arbitration service may result in the error "No such container: metadb."
  • Fixed the issue where using 2F1A MetaDB to create OCP may result in OCP failing to take over MetaDB.
  • Fixed the issue where server initialization does not check the ownership and group of the /data/1 and /data/log1 directories.
  • Fixed the issue where deploying OBDNS does not support special characters like - in the base domain name.
  • Fixed the issue where server initialization tasks do not check for offline CPUs.

Considerations

  • OAT V4.x versions can only be upgraded in-place from OAT V3.2.0 or later. Ecosystem products deployed with earlier versions of OAT or Antman can be taken over to a newly deployed OAT using the "take over component" and "take over product" features.
  • OAT V4.5.0 can only be upgraded directly from OAT V4.3.0 or later. OAT versions below V4.3.0 must first be upgraded to V4.3.0 or later before upgrading to V4.5.0.
