OAT allows you to install products or components in the OceanBase ecosystem based on image files or packages. This topic describes how to manage image files and packages in the OAT console.

Prerequisites

Before you manage images or packages, make sure that you have installed and logged on to OAT as a super administrator or an O&M engineer. For more information, see Install OAT.

Add an image

To add an image, perform the following steps:

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System and Security > Installation Package Management.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Add Image. You can upload images to the /data_dir/images directory of the OAT server, and then click Local Scan to add an image file.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, select Local Scan or Remote Connection. If you select Local Scan, OAT automatically scans your local image files and adds them to the image list. If you select Remote Connection, specify the following information on the Remote Connection Image page:

    Field Required? Description
Image Name Yes The name of the image to be added.
Image Registry Yes The URL of the registry to which the image is to be added.
Image Tag No The tag used for pulling the image from the image registry.
Architecture Yes Select an image architecture.
  4. Click OK.

Remove an image

You can remove an image based on your business needs. To remove an image, perform the following operations:

  1. Log on to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System and Security > Installation Package Management.

  3. In the Image Files list, find the target image file and click Delete in the Actions column.

You can also search for the image by name.

  4. In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.

Add a package

To add a package, perform the following steps:

  1. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System and Security > Installation Package Management.

  2. Click the Packages tab.

  3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Add Package. You can upload product installation packages to the /data_dir/binary_packages directory of the OAT server, and then click Local Scan to add an image file.

  4. In the dialog box that appears, select Local Scan.

If you select Local Scan, OAT automatically scans your local packages and adds them to the package list.

  5. Click OK.

Remove a package

You can remove a package based on your business needs. To remove a package, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose System and Security > Installation Package Management.

  3. In the Packages list, find the target package and click Delete in the Actions column.

You can also search for the package by name.
