Credentials are required for accessing servers. OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT) supports two types of credentials: (1) username + password and (2) key. This topic describes how to manage credentials in the OAT console.
Prerequisites
Before you manage credentials, make sure that you have logged on to OAT as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.
Create credentials
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.
In the upper-right corner of the page, click New Credential.
In the New Credential dialog box, enter the credential information.
The following table describes the credential fields.
Field Description Credential Name The name of the credentials. Authorization Type The authorization type of the credentials. OAT provides three authorization types for credentials: password authentication, public key authentication, and password-free. User Type The type of the user to connect to the server. Password The password used to connect to the server. Application Host The IP address of the server corresponding to the credentials. Click OK.
Modify credentials
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.
Find the target credentials and click Modify in the Operation column.
You can also search for the credentials by name.
On the Modify Credentials page, modify the credential name, user type, and password.
Click OK.
Delete credentials
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.
Find the target credentials and click Delete in the Operation column.
You can also search for the credentials by name.
In the dialog box that appears, click Confirm.
What to do next
After you create the credentials, you can select them to connect to a server when you add the server.
