This topic describes how to use the change topic feature of OceanBase Migration Service (OMS).
Scenarios
When you create a data synchronization task to synchronize data from a database to a message queue, you can use the change topic feature to reselect the topic name after you choose the topic type.
Procedure
Configure the data synchronization task to the Select Synchronization Objects step.
For more information, see the data synchronization chapter of the corresponding topic.
After you select the synchronization objects and the mapping mode, hover the pointer over the target object in the Select Synchronization Range section on the right side of the window and click the Change Topic option displayed in the tooltip.
In the Map Object to Topic dialog box, select the topics to synchronize.
Note
When you synchronize data from OceanBase Database to RocketMQ, you can only use the Existing Topic mapping mode.
When you synchronize data from OceanBase Database to Kafka, DataHub, you can only use the Existing Topic mapping mode if you do not select Schema Synchronization when you choose the synchronization type. If you select Schema Synchronization when you choose the synchronization type, you can only select one mapping mode to create or select a topic.
Click OK.
After you confirm the selection, the selected topics and tables are merged. Proceed with caution.
Configure the remaining task settings based on the prompt.
