OceanBase Migration Assessment (OMA) supports application load replay. This feature helps you predict possible post-migration performance risks and provides optimization solutions. This topic describes the types and versions of databases that support performance assessment and the scenarios to which this feature applies.
Supported types and versions of databases
| Database type | Database version |
|---|---|
| Oracle | All versions |
| MySQL | All versions |
| DRDS | All versions |
| MariaDB | All versions |
| TDSQL for CloudAudit | All versions |
| TiDB | All versions |
| TDDL in Log mode | All versions |
Scenarios
When you migrate data from an Oracle database to OceanBase Database, assess the performance differences of identical SQL statements in OceanBase Database and the Oracle database so that you can optimize the performance accordingly.
When you upgrade OceanBase Database, assess the performance differences between the two versions of OceanBase Database.
During performance assessment, all traffic is replayed based on the real traffic and queries per second (QPS) to simulate the real environment.
