This topic describes the database assessment feature of OceanBase Migration Assessment (OMA) and the limitations of this feature.
Features
OMA provides the database assessment feature. This feature allows you to assess an entire database instance at a time. It also allows you to perform object assessment, SQL statement assessment, and database profile in one task, and view the assessment results in one report.
You can use parameters to specify the assessment type of an assessment task as needed in the same way as that in compatibility assessment
Limitations
The following table describes the assessment types supported by the database assessment feature for five types of mainstream database systems.
| Database | Object assessment | SQL statement assessment | Database profile |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oracle | Supported | Supported | Supported |
| MySQL | Supported | Supported (by scanning text files) | Supported |
| TiDB | Supported | Not supported | Not supported |
| PostgreSQL | Supported | Not supported | Supported |
