This topic describes how to create a user under an Oracle tenant.
Applicability
This topic applies only to OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) Enterprise Edition. OCP Community Edition supports only MySQL tenants.
Prerequisites
- Make sure that you have the following permissions:
- Resource Permissions: Cluster Maintenance or Tenant Maintenance permission
- Menu Permissions: Permission on the User Management menu of Tenants
- Only the primary tenant has the permission to create a new Oracle tenant user.
Procedure
Log on to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenants .
In the left-side navigation pane, click Tenants. The Tenants page automatically appears.
On the Overview page of the tenant, click User Management in the left-side navigation pane.
On the page that appears, click Create User in the upper-right corner.
Click Create User in the upper-right corner. In the dialog box that appears, specify the following parameters.
Parameter Description Username The username must be 2 to 30 characters in length, and can contain digits (0 to 9), uppercase letters (A to Z), lowercase letters (a to z), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). By default, lowercase letters are automatically converted to uppercase letters. Password It must be 8 to 32 characters in length, and contain characters of at least three of the following types: digits (0 to 9), uppercase letters (A to Z), lowercase letters (a to z), and special characters. Supported special characters are ~ ! @ # % ^ & * _ - + = \( ) { } [ ] : ; , . ? /. Confirm Password Enter the password you specified for the Password parameter. System Permissions Optional. For more information, see System privileges in a MySQL tenant. Roles Optional. For more information, see Create a role under an Oracle tenant. Select Save to Password Box.
Click Submit .
Subsequent operations
Refresh the Users page.
Click the descending sorting icon next to Created on .

Check the details of the new user. You can modify the password or delete the user.
