This topic describes how to add an OBProxy.
Prerequisites
Make sure that the current login user in the OCP console has the following permissions:
- The OBProxy Maintenance resource permission.
- The Overview menu permission.
If the OBProxy cluster version is V4.0 or later, you can select only OBProxy packages of V4.0.0 or later. If the OBProxy cluster version is V3.x or earlier, you can select only OBProxy packages of V1.8.0 or later and earlier than V4.0.0.
You can add only OBProxy packages of existing versions in the cluster. We recommend that you use OBProxy packages with the same architecture as the hardware architecture of the nodes in the cluster.
OBProxy V4.3.0 and later support RPC ports.
Procedure
You can add an OBProxy in the following two ways:
- Method 1: On the Clusters page of the OCP console, find the cluster where you want to add an OBProxy and click Add OBProxy in the Actions column.
- Method 2: On the Clusters page, click the name of the cluster where you want to add an OBProxy. On the Overview page of the OBProxy cluster, click Add OBProxy in the upper-right corner.
The following example describes Method 2:
Log in to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click OBProxy.
In the cluster list, find the OBProxy cluster where you want to add an OBProxy and click its name to go to the Overview page.
Click Add OBProxy.
In the dialog box that appears, select an OBProxy package and configure SQL Port, Exporter Port Number, RPC Port, IDC, Host Type, and Host. For more information, see Create an OBProxy cluster.
Note
If no OBProxy is created or taken over in the OBProxy cluster, you can customize the SQL port, exporter port, and RPC port when you add an OBProxy. If an OBProxy already exists in the OBProxy cluster, the SQL port, exporter port, and RPC port are inherited from the ports configured when you created the OBProxy in the Create OBProxy Cluster procedure. The ports cannot be customized.
Click OK.
