Credentials are used to access servers. OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT) supports two types of credentials: the combination of username and password, and key. This topic describes how to manage credentials in the OAT console.
Prerequisites
Before you manage credentials, make sure that you have logged in to OAT as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.
Create a credential
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.
In the upper-right corner of the page that appears, click Create Credentials.
In the Create Credentials dialog box, specify the credential information.
The following table describes the related parameters.
Parameter Description Credential Name The name of the credential. Authorization Type The authorization type of the credentials. OAT provides three authorization types for credentials: password authentication, public key authentication, and password-free authentication. User Type The type of the user to connect to the server. Password The password used to connect to the server. Host Where Credential Is Applied The IP address of the server corresponding to the credential. Click OK.
Modify a credential
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.
Find the credential that you want to modify and click Modify in the Actions column.
You can also search for the credential by name at the top of the page.
On the Modify Credentials page, modify the credential name, user type, and password.
Click OK.
Delete a credential
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Credential Management.
Find the credential that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
You can also search for the credential by name at the top of the page.
In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
What to do next
After you create a credential, you can use the credential to connect to a server when you add the server.
