This topic describes how to install and uninstall OBLB in the OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT) console. OBLB is an iptables-based software load balancing tool. As a distributed database, OceanBase Database must integrate the computing capabilities of all nodes to maximize the overall performance of the database cluster. Therefore, an external load balancer such as OBLB must be mounted to provide a unified traffic ingress and distribute traffic to different nodes for load balancing.
Prerequisites
Before you install OBLB, make sure that the following conditions are met:
- You have installed OAT and logged in as a super administrator or an O&M engineer. For more information, see Install OAT.
- You have added a server to install OBLB. For more information, see Add a server.
