The new version of OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) is further optimized for higher availability. It supports the multi-zone mode and the takeover of OBProxy. This version also updated details of some other features.
Added the multi-zone mode
The multi-zone mode of OCP enables efficient management of OceanBase clusters with multiple replicas deployed across cities. This mode effectively reduces the bandwidth consumption and latency of the cross-city O&M in OCP. For more information, see Multi-zone overview. In multi-zone mode, you can perform the following operations:
View all zones of the OCP cluster and the structure of each zone. For more information, see View zones.
Modify the parameters of the multi-zone mode. For more information, see Manage multi-zone parameters.
Added support for OBProxy takeover
In this version, OCP allows you to take over an external OBProxy into the current OBProxy cluster managed by OCP. For more information, see Take over an OBProxy.
Existing feature optimization
The session management feature supports the generation and download of the Active Sessions History (ASH) report, which enables you to identify the sessions and SQL statements that excessively consumed resources and time. For more information, see Manage ASH report.
In this version, OCP supports backing up the backup data, also known as secondary backup. The data of the secondary backup is stored at another location. You can periodically clean up data of the first backup to release storage space. For more information about configuring the secondary backup, see Create a backup policy.
The visibility of OCP features to users with different permissions is optimized. You can see only the operation modules that you have the permissions to access.
The SQL diagnostics feature supports the export of the top SQL, suspected SQL, and slow SQL statements.
