You can start or stop a binlog cluster based on your business needs. Stopping a binlog cluster does not affect the normal operations of binlog instances in the cluster or the consumption of binlog data.
Applicability
This topic applies only to OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) Enterprise Edition. OCP Community Edition does not support this feature.
Prerequisites
- You have the permissions of the ADMIN user.
- The binlog cluster to be stopped is in the Running state.
- The binlog cluster to be started is in the Stopped state.
Procedure
Log on to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Binlog Service. The Cluster List tab automatically appears.
On the Cluster List page, find the target binlog cluster and click its name.
On the Binlog Cluster Overview tab, click the More icon in the upper-right corner and select Stop Binlog Cluster.
In the dialog box that appears, click Stop.
You can view the task progress in Task Center. When the task status changes to ExecuteSuccessful and the status of the cluster changes to Stopped, the cluster is successfully stopped.
Start the cluster.
After the cluster is stopped, you can click the More icon in the upper-right corner on the Binlog Cluster Overview page and select Start Binlog Cluster to start the cluster.
