RCPT

The RCPT command is used to specify the recipient of an email message.

Syntax

UTL_SMTP.RCPT (
   c           IN OUT NOCOPY     connection,
   recipient   IN                VARCHAR2,
   parameters  IN                VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL)
RETURN reply;

UTL_SMTP.RCPT (

Considerations

• Each call to RCPT specifies a single recipient's email address. You can call RCPT multiple times to specify multiple recipients.
• You must call RCPT after mail.
• The expected return value is a response starting with 250 or 251, indicating that the SMTP server successfully responded and accepted the specified recipient address.
