ERROR 5913 (HY000) : column to be modified is not an identity column

• OceanBase error code: 5913

• Error cause: You are trying to modify the identity property of a non-identity column.

• Solution: Modify the identity property of the identity column.

ERROR 5914 (HY000) : identity column cannot have a default value

• OceanBase error code: 5914

• Error cause: You are trying to add a default value to an identity column.

• Solution: You cannot specify a default value for an identity column.

ERROR 5915 (HY000) : identity column must be a numeric type

• OceanBase error code: 5915

• Error cause: You are trying to create or change the value of an identity column to a non-numeric data type.

• Solution: Do not assign non-numeric data types to identity columns.

ERROR 5916 (HY000) : prebuilt table managed column cannot be an identity column

• OceanBase error code: 5916

• Error cause: You are trying to create an instance view on a prebuilt table with an identity column.

• Solution: Either drop the identity attribute or drop the identity column from the instance view definition.

ERROR 5917 (HY000) : cannot alter a system-generated sequence

• OceanBase error code: 5917

• Error cause: You are trying to change a system-generated sequence.

• Solution: System-generated sequences (such as those created for identity columns) cannot be changed.

ERROR 5918 (HY000) : cannot drop a system-generated sequence

• OceanBase error code: 5918

• Cause: You tried to drop a system-generated sequence.

• Solution: System-generated sequences, such as those created for identity columns, cannot be dropped.

ERROR 5919 (HY000) : cannot insert into a generated always identity column

• OceanBase error code: 5919

• Cause: You tried to insert a value into an identity column created with the GENERATED ALWAYS keyword.

• Solution: Identity columns generated with the GENERATED ALWAYS keyword cannot be directly inserted. Instead, the associated sequence generator provides the value.

ERROR 5920 (HY000) : cannot update a generated always identity column

• OceanBase error code: 5920

• Cause: You tried to update an identity column created with the GENERATED ALWAYS keyword.

• Solution: Identity columns generated with the GENERATED ALWAYS keyword cannot be directly updated.

ERROR 5921 (HY000) : identity column sequence mismatch in ALTER TABLE EXCHANGE PARTITION

• OceanBase error code: 5921

• Cause: The sequences of the identity columns for the two tables specified in the EXCHANGE clause do not increase or decrease by the same amount.

• Solution: Ensure that the identity columns with INCREMENT BY have sequences with the same increment.

ERROR 5922 (HY000) : cannot rename a system-generated sequence

• Solution: System-generated sequences (such as those created for identity columns) cannot be renamed.

• Cause: UPDATE or REFERENCES can only be revoked from an entire table, not by column.

ERROR 5924 (HY000) : not executed, type body '%.*s' does not exist

• Cause: You tried to execute a non-existent stored program.

• Solution: Ensure the correct name is provided.

ERROR 5925 (HY000) : The argument [%s] of WIDTH_BUCKET function is NULL or invalid

• OceanBase error code: 5925

• Cause: The parameter [%s] for the WIDTH_BUCKET function is NULL or invalid.

ERROR 5926 (HY000) : Not enough memory for CONNECT BY operation

• OceanBase error code: 5926

• Cause: On the new engine, an error is reported when the recursion depth is too deep, with a limit of 2 to the power of 30. On the old engine, an error is reported if the number of all nodes plus their child nodes along the path from the root node to the current node exceeds a fixed value (2 to the power of 30). This value is currently set fixed and generally should not be exceeded.

• Solution: No solution has been found yet. Increasing the memory size does not resolve this issue. The only solutions are to reduce the recursion depth or decrease the data volume.

ERROR 5927 (HY000) : illegal parameter in SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH function

• OceanBase error code: 5927

• Cause: There is an invalid parameter in the SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH function.

ERROR 5928 (HY000) : host %.*s unknown

• OceanBase error code: 5928

• Cause: The specified host is unknown.

• Solution: Check the spelling of the hostname or IP address to ensure it is valid.

ERROR 5929 (HY000) : Window name '%.*s' is not defined

• OceanBase error code: 5929

• Cause: The specified window function does not exist.

• Solution: Confirm that the relevant window function has been created and use the correct window function name.

ERROR 5930 (HY000) : maximum open %s exceeded

• OceanBase error code: 5930

• Cause: The number of cursors opened simultaneously in the system exceeds the limit.

• Solution: Close cursors or adjust the open_cursors parameter.

ERROR 5931 (HY000) : argument is null, invalid, or out of range

• OceanBase error code: 5931

• Cause: The passed parameter value is NULL, invalid, or out of range. For example, the position or size parameter for LOB / FILE exceeds the range of 1 to (4 GB - 1), or a file is opened in an invalid open mode.

• Solution: Check and correct the program so that it does not pass NULL, invalid, or out-of-range parameter values.

• Cause: An invalid name character.

ERROR 5933 (HY000) : PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: '%.*s'

• OceanBase error code: 5933

• Cause: The program unit cannot be found.

ERROR 5934 (HY000) : fetch out of sequence

• OceanBase error code: 5934

• SQLSTATE: HY000

• Cause: An attempt was made to access data from an invalid cursor. This error can occur for the following reasons:

  • Accessing data from the cursor after retrieving the last row and returning the OBE-1403 error.

  • Accessing data after issuing a COMMIT following the opening of a cursor using the FOR UPDATE clause.

  • Rebinding all placeholders in an SQL statement and then attempting to access data before re-executing the statement.

  Note

  Implicit fetches in a PL/SQL cursor loop can also cause this error.

• Solution:

  • Do not issue a FETCH statement after retrieving the last row.

  • Do not access data after issuing a COMMIT following the opening of a cursor using the FOR UPDATE clause.

  • Rebind the placeholders and execute the SQL statement again, then try to access data.

ERROR 5935 (HY000) : %s

• OceanBase error code: 5935

• Cause: An incorrect parameter was passed when using the DBMS_STATS system package in PL.

• Solution: Modify the parameter as prompted in the error message.

ERROR 5954 (HY000) : file or LOB operation string failed

• OceanBase error code: 5954

• Cause: The path string format is incorrect, or the location pointed to is inaccessible, during a file or LOB operation.

• Solution: Use a directory object instead of a direct path. Ensure the directory object points to an existing path and that the current user has access permissions.

ERROR 5959 (HY000) : invalid SIZE specified

• OceanBase error code: 5959

• Cause: The specified SIZE value for the histogram is out of range.

• Solution: Specify a SIZE value within the range [1, 2048].

ERROR 5975 (HY000) : \ndblink remote error code: %d,\nremote error msg: %.*s"

• OceanBase error code: 5975

• Cause: An error occurred while connecting to the remote database, and the error code cannot be mapped to an OceanBase error code.

• Solution: Investigate the cause based on the error code provided in the error message.

ERROR 5976 (HY000) : can not find the expected version of OCI LIB: %.*s

• Cause: The expected version of the OCI library was not found.
