This chapter describes how to view details of alert events.
Procedure
Log in to the obshell console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Center.
Click the Alert Events tab.
In the search box, set the search conditions. The Alert Events list displays all alert events that meet the search conditions.
You can search for alert events by Object Type, Alert Object, Alert Level, Keyword, Start Time, and End Time.
Parameter Description Object Type The object type can be obcluster, obtenant, or observer. - obcluster indicates that the alert object is a cluster.
- obtenant indicates that the alert object is a tenant.
- observer indicates that the alert object is an observer node.
Alert Object Based on the Object Type, select the alert object from the drop-down list. If multiple alert objects exist, you can select only one. - When the object type is obcluster, the alert object is the cluster name.
- When the object type is obtenant, the alert object is the tenant name.
- When the object type is observer, the alert object is the IP address of the observer node.
Alert Level The alert level can be Critical, Warning, Notice, or Reminder. - Critical: The system availability is decreasing and requires immediate repair to avoid complete unavailability, such as when the memory usage of a server is greater than 90% for 3 minutes.
- Warning: The system is still available, but it is approaching unavailability. Measures must be taken to prevent the system from becoming unavailable, such as when the number of connections to an OceanBase tenant exceeds 80% of the upper limit.
- Notice: The key performance indicators of the system are decreasing, but the system has not yet reached the threshold for a warning. Potential issues can be identified and resolved before a warning is triggered.
- Reminder: This is an operation reminder and not an actual alert. It typically indicates that an administrator has performed an important operation, such as taking a cluster offline.
Keyword The keyword for the alert. You can enter a custom keyword. Start Time The start time of the alert event. End Time The end time of the alert event. Click Reset to clear the search conditions and re-enter them.
Click Collapse to collapse the search box. In this case, you can only set the Object Type, Alert Object, and Alert Level for the search.
You can mute alert events.
If you do not need to pay attention to an alert event, you can click Mute in the Actions column to quickly mute the alert.
After you click Shield, the page jumps to the Shielding page, and then the Shielding Conditions page pops up. The object type, object, alert rule, and tags are automatically filled in. You only need to fill in the end time and remarks, and click Submit. The alert status will change to Suppressed, and the alert will not be sent before the end time. For more information about the configuration, see Create a Shielding Rule.
