Monitor host performance

This topic describes how to check the performance metrics of hosts in an OceanBase cluster.

Procedure

1. Log in to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Hosts.

2. In the Hosts list on the Host Overview page, click the IP address of the target host.

3. On the page that appears, click the Monitoring tab.

4. On the Monitoring tab, specify the display criteria and view the monitoring data.

   • If Auto Refresh is disabled, you can click Last 1 Hour and then select a time range to view the monitoring data of the last hour, last day, last week, or a custom time range.
   • If Auto Refresh is enabled, the system displays the real-time monitoring data of the host.

5. Click the Host Performance or Host Resources tab to view the corresponding monitoring data.

   The following features enable you to better view and analyze the performance monitoring data on a trend chart. You can learn about the features with the help of the figure below.

   • View the trend details of a metric over a specific period. To use this feature, drag the pointer over the period to select this period. Then, the system displays the trend details in a zoomed-in view. After you view the trend details, double-click the trend chart to return to normal.

   • Hide the data of a submetric: To use this feature, click the icon of the submetric. The submetric will then turn gray and its data will be hidden from the chart.

   • View data at a specific point in time. To use this feature, move the pointer over this point in time on the trend chart.
