This topic describes how to add an OceanBase Database Proxy (ODP, also known as OBProxy) to an ODP cluster in the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console.
Prerequisites
An ODP cluster is created. For more information, see Create an ODP cluster.
Procedure
Log on to the OCP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click OBProxy.
In the ODP cluster list, click the target ODP cluster.
The Overview page of the ODP cluster appears.
Click Add OBProxy.
In the dialog box that appears, specify the following parameters: Software Version, SQL Port Number, Exporter Port Number, IDC, Host Type, and Host.
The following table describes the parameters.
Parameter Description SQL Port Number The default port is 2883. Exporter Port Number The default port is 2884. Software Version Select the version of ODP RPM to install. IDC, Host Type (Optional), and Host Configure the host where ODP is to be deployed by setting the following parameters: IDC, Host Type (Optional), and Host. Click OK.
Note
- For an ODP cluster of V4.0 or later, you can select a software package of V4.0.0 or later.
- For an ODP cluster of V3.x or earlier, you can select a software package whose version ranges from V1.8.0 to V4.0.0.
- If no ODP is added to or taken over to the ODP cluster, you can specify the SQL port and Exporter port when you add an ODP to the cluster. If an ODP already exists in the ODP cluster, by default, the SQL port and Exporter port are those configured when you create the ODP cluster, and cannot be modified.
