    This topic describes the system requirements for OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP), including hardware requirements, software requirements, operating system requirements, and client requirements.

    Hardware requirements

    OCP-Server can be installed on a physical server or in a Docker container. OCP-Server supports multi-node and high-availability deployments.

    The following table lists the minimum hardware requirements for an OCP-Server node.

    Hardware
    Requirement
    CPU
  • x86_64 architecture, 8-core processor
  • ARM AArch64 architecture, 8-core processor
  • Memory 16 GB available
    NIC 10 Gbit/s NIC

    OCP-Agent takes up few resources and has no special hardware requirements.

    Software requirements

    OCP-Server software requirements

    If you install OCP by using Docker images, the required software is already contained in the Docker image package.

    The following table describes the software requirements for installing OCP by using RPM packages.

    Software
    Version
    JDK Oracle JDK (1.8 and later) or Ali JDK (V1.8 and later)
    Python 2.7.5 and later

    Some third-party Python packages are also downloaded during the OCP-Server installation. OCP-Init depend on the third-party Python packages.

    Content of requirement.txt, the dependency requirement file, of OCP-Server:

    zerorpc==0.6.3

    Content of requirement.txt of OCP-Init:

    mysql-connector-python==8.0.18
    PyYAML==5.1.2
    bcrypt==3.1.7
    paramiko==2.7.1
    requests==2.23.0
    pycrypto==2.6.1
    backports.pbkdf2==0.1

    OCP-Agent software requirements

    The OCP-Agent installation package contains some third-party Python packages. These third-party Python packages will be installed in the /home/admin/ocp_agent/site-packages/directory. For details about the Python software package, see the requirement.txt file of OCP-Agent, as shown below:

    mysql-connector-python==8.0.21

    Debian/Ubuntu OS software requirements

    In addition to the third-party Python packages, OCP-Agent depends on the following software packages to support Debian/Ubuntu:

    apt install -y python
    apt install -y alien
    apt install -y python-dev-is-python2
    apt install -y libmariadb-dev libmariadb-dev-compat libmariadb3 libmariadbclient-dev mariadb-client mariadb-common
    apt install -y curl
    apt install -y sudo
    apt install -y libtinfo5
    apt install -y libidn11
    apt install -y net-tools

    To facilitate troubleshooting, we recommend that you also install the following software packages:

    apt install -y wget
    apt install -y unzip
    apt install -y less
    apt install -y vim

    EulerOS software requirements

    In addition to the third-party Python packages, OCP-Agent depends on the following software package to support EulerOS:
