This topic describes how to add a tenant replica.
Note
Adding a replica triggers partition replica migration, and increases the storage I/O of OBServer nodes and the network traffic between OBServer nodes. To control traffic surges, we recommend that you change the values of the ha_high_thread_score and ha_mid_thread_score parameters, or perform resource isolation for HA_HIGH and HA_MID background tasks.
Prerequisites
In a standalone centralized database, you cannot add replicas for a tenant.
Procedure
Log in to the OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) console.
In the left-side navigation pane, select Tenants. The Tenants page automatically appears.
On the Tenants page, find the target tenant and click its name to go to the Overview page of the tenant.
Click Create Replica in the upper-right corner of the page.

In the dialog box that appears, configure the Target Zone, Replica Type, Unit Specifications, and Units parameters. You can add replicas for multiple zones.

Parameter Description Target Zone The zone where the new replica exists. You can select a zone of the current cluster. Replica Type The type of the replica. Select multiple full-featured replicas to ensure that they are in the majority. For more information, see the description of the Replica Type parameter in Create a primary tenant. Unit Specifications The unit specifications for the new replica. For more information, see the description of the Unit Specification parameter in Create a primary tenant. Units The number of units for the new replica. For more information, see the description of the Units parameter in [Create a primary tenant. Click OK.
