Description
enable_upgrade_mode specifies whether to enable the upgrade mode. In the upgrade mode, some system background features are paused.

Query the parameter

systenant and all user tenants can query this parameter by using theSHOW PARAMETERSstatement or theGV$OB_PARAMETERSview.Modify the parameter
Only the
systenant can modify this parameter. User tenants cannot modify this parameter.

Considerations
Before an upgrade, you can use this system parameter to disable some features that need to be disabled (such as DDL operations) to simplify the upgrade process. Set enable_upgrade_mode to True before the upgrade and set it to False after the upgrade.
