This topic describes how to create a high availability test.
Prerequisites
- All servers used by the OceanBase cluster to be tested are added to OAT.
- Sysbench is installed on the servers managed by OAT.
High availability test scenarios
Only OceanBase clusters with the following deployment architectures are supported: 3F, 5F, 2F1A, and 4F1A.
- For a 3F cluster, test the failure of a single standby node or a single primary node.
- For a 5F cluster, test the failure of a single standby node, a single primary node, a primary-standby pair, or two standby nodes.
- If the cluster has an arbitration node, test the failure of the arbitration node.
Procedure
Log in to the OAT console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operation and Maintenance Management > High Availability Test.
On the High Availability Test page, click Create High Availability Test.
In the Create High Availability Test dialog box, specify the required information.
Field Description Test Report Name Enter the name of the test report. The name must meet the following requirements: - It must start with a Chinese character or letter and end with a Chinese character, letter, or digit.
- It must be 2 to 32 characters in length.
- It can contain only underscores (_).
Access Address The access address of the cluster to be tested. Notice
During the test, specify the access information of the OBProxy (ODP) node.
Access Port The access port of the cluster to be tested. Cluster Name The name of the cluster to be tested. Tenant Name The default value is sys, which cannot be modified.Username The default value is root, which cannot be modified.Password The login password of the ODP node of the cluster to be tested. Test Click Test to verify whether the prerequisite conditions are met. If the verification is successful, the Cluster ID, Cluster Version, and Cluster Architecture are displayed, including the following information: Zone Name, Region, IDC, OBServer, and Status. If the cluster has an arbitration node, the Host, Port, and Status of the arbitration node are also displayed. Sysbench The server on which Sysbench is deployed. If you do not select a Sysbench server, the prerequisite conditions are not met. Notice
During the high availability test, Sysbench imports data to the cluster to be tested. Do not deploy Sysbench on the cluster to be tested.
Remarks (Optional) The remarks. You can enter the remarks in the text box. After you specify the required information, click Create.
What to do next
After you create a high availability test, you can view the basic information of the test task on the High Availability Test page and perform operations such as viewing the task and downloading the report. For more information, see View a high availability test.
