Maintain a server

You can maintain a server after the server is initialized. For example, you can change the purpose, configure clock synchronization, and initialize disks of the server.

Prerequisites

Before you maintain a server, make sure that the following conditions are met:

• You have installed OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT). For more information, see Install OAT.
• The server has been added and initialized.

Procedure

1. Log in to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Server Management.

3. Find the server that you want to maintain and click its IP address in the IP column.

   Note

   At the top of the page, you can search for a server by IP address.

4. On the page that appears, click O&M in the upper-right corner and select the maintenance option from the drop-down menu:

   • Change the purpose of the server
   • Configure clock synchronization
   • Initialize disks

5. Click OK.
