You can maintain a server after the server is initialized. For example, you can change the purpose, configure clock synchronization, and initialize disks of the server.
Prerequisites
Before you maintain a server, make sure that the following conditions are met:
- You have installed OceanBase Admin Toolkit (OAT). For more information, see Install OAT.
- The server has been added and initialized.
Procedure
Log in to the OAT console as a super administrator or an O&M engineer.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Server > Server Management.
Find the server that you want to maintain and click its IP address in the IP column.
Note
At the top of the page, you can search for a server by IP address.
On the page that appears, click O&M in the upper-right corner and select the maintenance option from the drop-down menu:
- Change the purpose of the server
- Configure clock synchronization
- Initialize disks
Note
For more information about how to change the purpose, configure clock synchronization, and initialize disks of a server, see Add a server.
Click OK.
