The latest version of OceanBase Cloud Platform (OCP) implements a high-availability redundancy architecture based on two IDCs. It supports the multi-cluster mode, provides physical backup and restoration for Cloud Object Storage (COS) of Tencent Cloud, and optimizes other features.
Support the OCP multi-cluster mode
In the multi-cluster mode, you can deploy multiple OCP clusters remotely to manage primary and standby OceanBase clusters across two or more cities. You can manage primary and standby OceanBase clusters across OCP clusters, for example, create, delete, and update primary and standby OceanBase clusters, as well as switch an OceanBase cluster in daily maintenance or a failover. For more information, see OCP multi-cluster mode.
You can bind a follower OCP cluster to the leader OCP cluster when you log on to the follower OCP cluster for the first time. For more information, see Register an OCP cluster.
You can view the information of OCP clusters and their relationships in the multi-cluster mode. For more information, see Leader & Follower Details.
You can manage OCP cluster parameters. For more information, see Manage OCP cluster parameters.
You can switch a follower OCP cluster to a leader in daily maintenance. For more information, see Switch an OCP cluster in daily maintenance.
You can switch a follower OCP cluster to a leader in a failover. For more information, see Switch an OCP cluster in a failover.
You can delete a follower OCP cluster that has a heartbeat timeout exception. For more information, see Delete a faulty follower OCP cluster.
You can unbind a follower OCP cluster from its leader. For more information, see Unbind leader and follower OCP clusters.
Support COS
The latest version of OCP provides physical backup and restoration for COS. COS is a distributed storage service provided by Tencent Cloud to store massive objects. It enables you to upload, download, and manage objects in multiple formats.
When you create a backup policy, you can set the storage type to COS. For more information, see Create a backup policy.
