Major changes

• Added support for OceanBase Database V4.5.0.

• The Community Edition of obbinlog is now compatible with Debian 12. You can deploy a Binlog cluster on a Debian system using the Community Edition of OCP. For instructions on creating a Binlog cluster using OCP, refer to the Binlog Service Management / Create Binlog Cluster section in the official documentation of OceanBase Cloud.

  Only the Community Edition of obbinlog is compatible with Debian systems, and it only supports deploying a Binlog cluster on a Debian system using the Community Edition of OCP.

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where the default value of enable_output_virtual_generated_column was set to 1, causing the Binlog instance to fail to start when the OceanBase Database version was in the range [4.3.0.0, 4.3.4.0).

• Fixed an issue where special passwords caused errors in parsing the password in the Binlog configuration file.

• Fixed a memory issue in the Thread class related to use-after-free.

OceanBase Database

For details, refer to the table below. Note that the support range includes all BP versions earlier than the latest supported version.

OceanBase Database features change with each version. When a new version of OceanBase Database is released, the Binlog Service features need to be integrated and adapted. Therefore, OceanBase Database versions released after the support versions in the table are not guaranteed to be supported.

If your OceanBase Database version is not within the supported range, you can usually manually install the corresponding version of obcdc to adapt the Binlog Service to that version. For more information, see Install obcdc.
