Description
enable_upgrade_mode specifies whether to enable upgrade mode. In upgrade mode, some system background features are paused.

systenant and all user tenants can query this parameter by using theSHOW PARAMETERSstatement or theGV$OB_PARAMETERSview.Modify the parameter
Only the
systenant can modify this parameter. User tenants cannot modify this parameter.

Considerations
Before an upgrade, you can disable features that are not supported during the upgrade, such as DDL operations, by using this system parameter. Set enable_upgrade_mode to True before the upgrade and set it to False after the upgrade.
