Before seekdb, Kane spent years deep in OceanBase's log engine and OBCDC (Change Data Capture), building the infra that keeps distributed state consistent and observable. Now he is focused on seekdb, building an AI-native database for the agent era. Away from the terminal, he is the same way: camping, climbing, picking up whatever sport looks interesting next. He would rather try something new and fail than repeat something safe.
